Its latest application is a change of scene entirely: Eatalia Pizzeria's storefront in DHA Phase 8, near Creek Mart, is being reclad in Rammed Earth Flexi Stone as part of its reopening renovation — with "the return is near" now up on the shopfront.
What's happening at the storefront
The renovation centers on the building's facade — the panel surrounding the Eatalia signage and storefront glass has been reclad in Rammed Earth's warm, wavy-grain texture, replacing what would otherwise be a flat painted or tiled surface. It's a shift from the glossy, uniform storefronts common on the same stretch to something with visible depth and movement, even at a glance from the street.
The site is still active — construction material, protective glass tape, and site debris are still in frame — but the facade cladding itself is far enough along to see the finished tone and texture clearly against the building's grey and glass upper floors.
Why Rammed Earth works on a storefront
Rammed Earth is one of Flexi Stone's more textural finishes — layered and sedimentary rather than polished. On a facade, that texture does real work: it catches natural light differently through the day, gives the storefront a warmth that glass and steel neighbors don't have, and reads as considered rather than default from across the street. For a pizzeria specifically, the earthy, warm tone echoes the same feeling associated with wood-fired, artisanal food spaces — without leaning on an obvious rustic-Italian cliché.
